Having just finished watching one of the best television series ever made, I thought it would be good to let you know more about it so you can look out for it when it appears on a channel near you.

Sir David Attenborough and his team made the series with the aid of the BBC N atural History Unit and the Discovery Channel. One of the highlights is footage of killer whales cooperating to dislodge seals from ice floes. This was recorded in the diaries of some of the first Antarctic explorers (Scott and Shackleton) but has never been filmed before. That sequence alone was worth my TV licence for the year ... plus the extra cost for viewing in High Definition!

If you get the chance to see it, please don't miss this incredible series.
