I would like use my built in webcam to see if anyone is messing with my laptop. Is there any way to do that without anyone knowing it (showing on desktop)?
I have Hypercam 2 and i tried this- > first of all open your desktop with nothing opened then, press "prt sc"(its above "insert" key on your keyboard) now after you have pressed it open paint and press Ctrl+V now save the file for example ABC.bmp, now open that webcam app and open ABC.bmp with windows picture and fax viewer and click on slide show (make sure you pause the slide show) so now people will see your normal desktop while the webcam app will be running<.That still recorded the desktop wallpaper. Can anyone help,i know it's possible

you cant. for security purpose, when you turn on the webcam, the indicator light will on as well. there's no work around.
