This is a really nice T61, one of the nicest I've seen and the September 2008 production date will assure you it has the updated (more reliable) nVidia GPU chip.

System Specs:

ThinkPad T61 (6458-Y65) production date 08/09 (2008 september)
Based on 6458-CTO: T7500(2.2GHz), 2GB RAM, 80GB 5400rpm HD, 15.4in 1680x1050 LCD, 128MB nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M, CDRW/DVD, Intel 802.11agn, Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, 6c Li-Ion, WinVista Business 32

The T7500 Meron class Core 2 duo processor runs at 2.2ghz and has the larger 4mb l2 cache. This unit also has the
PN 44C3927 FRU 44C3928 SYSTMBRD ASSEMBLY FRU System board assembly so it can be upgraded to T9500 Penryn class @ 2.6ghz and 6mb of l2 cache.

The system comes equiped with 2GB of DDR2 ram upgradable upto 8GB

WSXGA (1680x1050 resolution) I've taken some high resolution pictures of the screen, but no photograph can do it justice, it really is a beautiful screen.

The most important thing to consider when buying a T61 is the graphic processor. Units built before August 2008 have a less reliable nVidia Graphics processor.

Shortly after the update of the nVidia processor, the T61 line was discontinued, making units built with the updated GPU extremely rare, and often command 2-3 times the price of units built prior to August 2008.

This unit also comes equipt with the Intel Pro AGN wireless card offering speeds upto 300mb/s, and 1000mb/s using ethernet.

Also included is Bluetooth, modem and security chip.

The Windows Vista Business edition is installed and fully activated with original Certificate of Authenticity from Microsoft.

I've used this unit for several weeks and have had it running 24/7 for more then 7 days while monitoring temperatures and can safely say it's in 100% perfect working condition. Physical appearance is about as nice as you could hope for on a gently used unit, in fact, the only signs of wear I could find on the unit are on the microsoft label on the bottom, which is a non-issue since the product key is well readable.

Between the condition of this unit and it's rare production date, I believe it's worth far more then my asking price of $379 plus $20 for domestic (usa) shipping and insurance. In fact I've seen units with the less reliable GPU selling for more.

Here are some high resolution photos. (not the best photos, but I'll take more when I have time)
