Functions keys on T23 with Ubuntu

Hello, I have installed tpb from apt to enable functions keys of my ThinkPad T23.
...but they does not interact with the software panel for audio.
I mean that now i have 2 ways to adjust volume and they are not "synchronized".
Is it normal?


Finally, is it possible to add button for enabling/disabling wireless (that was not included in my model)?
