Hi, i tried to use fancontrol scripts.
First, i've wandered on thinkwiki to find the tp-fancontrol script.
so i installed thinkpad-acpi module, and added the option as specified
arnaud@Arnaud-THINK /etc/modprobe.d $ cat thinkpad_acpi.conf
options thinkpad_acpi experimental=1 fan_control=1
then i setup the tp-fancontrol script, but when i try to start the dameon :
arnaud@Arnaud-THINK /etc/modprobe.d $ sudo tp-fancontrol -qd
7116 (process ID) old priority 0, new priority -10
arnaud@Arnaud-THINK /etc/modprobe.d $ ps -A | grep 7116
NOTHING
On this forum, i found a link toward http://code.google.com/p/tpfanco/
but when installing,
"
unable to set fanspeed, enable watchdog or read temperature Fatal error
please make sure you are root and a recent thinkpad_acpi module is loaded with fan_control=1 [fail]
"
I was wondering if anyone else in my situation had found a work-around for this ?
thanks
fancontrol scripts fails on my T420i
