Leather Folio = real Leather?

Can anyone tell me if the Leather Folio for the Thinkpad Tablet is made of real leather (Animal origin) or what you see more and more that leather is replaced by a synthetic product that looks like leather and is cheaper to produce and more consistent and durable than the animal version.

This is important for me, as I want to surprise my wife with a Thinkpad Tablet + Keyboard Folio for X-mas. And she refuses to wear or use animal products.
