T30 Audio Problem

#1 Post by machine.doc » Sun Dec 18, 2011 5:56 pm

First I want to say thanks to everyone on here who has contributed to curing my t30 problems in the past.

I do however have a new problem. I have two t30's that have no audio at all.
I worked one day and the next there was no audio hardware in device manager.
Have reinstalled windows a few times since but always came up with nothing. It seems not to be a software issue.

If anyone has schematic of what's what on the mobo so I can check for bad solder joints and fuses.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

I have been working on a T23 with features that suddenly stopped working, i suggest trying a Linux Live CD and see if audio works within Linux, if not then its likely a hardware related issue.

I'm sure members of this forum will respond with detailed information to help you resolve your issue but if you wanted a quick fix, you could try a USB audio adapter which can be had for £3 from eBay.

Thanks ichhabegedroppen

I have to agree with you that it is most likely a hardware issue as I have tried everything I can think of on the software end; including Linux but with no joy. I have also been using a usb audio dongle which works perfectly, further adding to the conclusion that it is something hardware related like a fuse or something.

I have not found anyone else on the net that has posted this same issue so I'm hoping that I can solve this and post a answer.
