Seagate ST9100823A (100 GB) ok in T40?

#1 Post by jayplett » Sun Apr 10, 2005 5:50 pm

I have had a Seagate ST9100823A start getting timeout errors in a T40 less than 2 months after installation. The drive seems a bit warm to me (the place where I rest my right hand while typing feels quite warm). I don't remember whether the original IBM disk was this warm or not.

Does anybody have experience with this disk in a T40?

Hi,

I'm running a 100Gig Seagate in a T40P without any obvious problems.

Its been running for about two months so far.

Cheers,
