yellowish lcd

#1 Post by k0NRaD » Sat Dec 24, 2011 2:03 am

i now own two x61s 8) one of them has a sligthly yellowish display when compared to the other side by side. im wondering if its the lcd that has become old or maybe the two x61s have two different lcds (i see 4 compatible parts in the service manual) which is the best quality one? hydis, samsung or the other one mentioned - sorry i dont remember its name...

btw my machine types are 7667-34g amd 7667-a89.

the "yellowish" is one year younger

It's quite possible that they use different panels which have different white balance at factory settings. You can use video card color settings to compensate for that and achieve whatever white balance is satisfactory for you.
