anyone have this problem with lenovo

im posting here because i couldnt find a section here on general lenovo stuff.

i bought a new ideapad y570. after days of problems the order was finally placed on dec. 19.
my est. ship date. was dec. 24. today i log in to check order status and now it says 1-17-12. thats almost an extra 20 days.
should i be freaking out? i posted to official forums with no response. is lenovo usually this slow?

Hello and welcome to the forum :)

I believe it's not uncommon that the shipping date gets altered due to changes in manufacturers' supply situations. Many people, whose orders' shipping dates were moved, were pleasantly surprised when Lenovo shipped and delivered way ahead of the new shipping date. I don't think one could expect any computer manufacturer in the western hemisphere, be it Lenovo or someone else, to react to complaints about shipping delays on the 24th of December. And even in Asia, it's Sunday morning right now :)

Most likely the hdd supply situation has worsened.
Current ThinkPad: T430u, T430s, X1 Carbon, X1, X230t, X220t, X230, X220, X201t, W520, W701ds, T500, T420 and many more

they changed it earlier to 12-30. better than january i guess.
they still havn't charged my card though. i guess they will when it ships
