Penryn boards w/Nvidia chips: safe bet, or not?

Had the problem w/the Nvidia graphics chips been corrected by the time production started w/boards for the Penryn processors? Thanks.

No. My machine has a "bad" Penryn board...
X201s, X301, W500, 2x 15.4" T61p, T601p Frankenpad with HV150UX2-100 UXGA LED-backlit display and safe 2010 44c3926 system board
