Battery doesn't charge on t61 but battery is still working

Hey,


On my t61 it says that the Battery power is 0 and it is recharching, however it doesn't charge at all.
I could use the remaining battery power till it was down to 0.
Any change I can get this back to work again or is the battery killed?
Unfortunately here in the dominican republic its hard to get support and replacements.
Computer is working fine with and without battery plugged into the slot.

perform the battery gauge reset in power manager, it might fix your problem.

all it does is fully charge your battery (or as much as it can), then fully discharge it, then charge it again and recalibrate the gauge. On one of my T61 laptops I had to do it twice until it figured out that the battery is "good" and not only "fair" .. lol

Just curious really, but why is it a problem getting a battery there? You obviously have internet, will your country not allow them through customs? or is the problem with payment? or mail service?

Maybe you can find someone to get one and mail it to you?
