I haven't seen this problem posted anywhere so I thought I'd ask here.
I have a T41 2373-W4X which has vertical lines show up on the screen when the ac adapter is plugged in. They look like yellow pinstripes in 16 bit color and blue pinstripes in 32 bit color. This only happens when the power cord is plugged in. If I switch to running on battery the screen flashes and they disappear.
I ran PC doctor and it said that I had a Video Memory failure but I haven't been able to find a solution.
Has anyone encountered this before?
Vertical Lines on Display
Re: Vertical Lines on Display
It doesn't sound like a software problem. I would send it back to IBM. Call them.

Re: Vertical Lines on Display
Um - you probably have a video memory failure...
That requires a board swap - send it in for repair.
