Hey, you guys,
Anyone experienced the same problem that when I plugged a USB device into USB port, the Laptop power down itself and couldn't be power on since then until I had to remove the AC supply, also the battery, and then loaded the battery back again.
It's not always the problem happened to me, but just sometimes so that it turns out to be much harder to figure out the problem.
Any idea?
Thanks!
Laptop down when plugging a USB device
Hi
I had the exact same problem.
After rebooting my USB ports were dead. I sent my thinkpad to IBM
and they told me they had to replace the system board, because the usb controller chips were burned. (they told me that this could be caused by static electricity or a faulty usb device) I've also heard that some iPod users have had the same problem. Search the forum...
I hope this isn't your case, but unfortunately all the symptoms seem identical.
Cheers,
Michael
