thinkpad i 1200 max ram memory dvd

Does anyone know the max memory capacity for the thinkpad i1200 1161-43u? I have read on the forum that low-density 256mb pc100.
Also, does anyone know of any DVD-rom options that work?

According to the information available freely at the IBM site an i Series ThinkPad can have a max RAM of either 160mb or 192, depending upon onboard RAM.
Imagine that, a company supporting their own products to users if they simply take the time to look.
