Upgrading T400 display 1280 x 800 CCFL to 1440 x 900 works?

Howdy all,

I bought a T400 last week that has a jittery screen with the intention of upgrading the WXGA display to WXGA+. The model is 7417-CTO with the Intel graphics. They are both CCFL. Just wanted to make sure that swapping the display is all I need to do? Specifically, I was going for this: http://www.lcds4less.com/LenovoLaptop__ ... reens.html

Is there a better source or a specific display model I should look for? Much thanks!

Pretty much all you need to do is swap the panel. I've heard more reports of the LG variant of the panel being better.

You might want to post over in the marketplace forum to see if anyone has an extra screen they'll part with. I don't think the one you linked is a Lenovo part, which you want.
