NEED ASSISTANCE ON SELECTING A THINKPAD

#1 Post by feejeean » Mon Apr 11, 2005 7:24 pm

Hi Guys !!

Appreciate your advice(s) ?!?

Am about to buy a laptop as I will be traveling abroad a lot this year (at least twice a month) so need to be able to take my work away from office - did the research of all the brands, and decided to go with the IBM Thinkpad, based on general feedback across web forums about its quality and robustness. I have narrowed down my options to these models, which are within my price range. Actually have made up my mind 80% to get no.1 based on its specs but would appreciate comments from users of all these models listed - Have I made the right choice?

Have read that "Bill" is also the guy to talk to on Thinkpad deals - so .. Bill appreciate if you could pm me on any deals that you currently have with similar spec to below or better :)

What are you using it for on the road? I'd say either of the T42s...

Bill doesn't read all the threads in the forum. You'll have much better luck either e-mailing him or calling him. You can get his contact information and hours from the web site at http://thinkpads.com

If you doesn't need the optical drive during your trips, I'd go for the X31, or even the smaller X40/41. Perfect for checking e-mail, writing reports etc.
