R40 - can not connect to internet?

Have tried to hook up my R40 to the internet via high speed modem but cannot get it to connect. Help!!

Well, you got me there. What I was really referring to was the laptop will not connect to the internet. I hooked it up to my working Comcast high speed cable from my desktop PC and the laptop could not connect to the internet. I do not know if I am missing drivers for it, or if there is something in the programming of the laptop just not allowing the connection.
I just replaced the hard drive with a bigger GB unit, but I don't know if that is part or all of the problem. I never tried to connect to the internet with the old drive in it.

Start
Control Panel
Double click system
Hardware
Device Manager
Network Adaptors

Tell us what you see there.
