T61 Cheap Speakers ***rattling***

#1 Post by hoax32 » Sun Jan 15, 2012 11:03 pm

Has any1 else noticed a rattling sound in one / both of your T61 speakers?
You can notice it, when you play a "bass-test" on youtube....its a "rattling sound" coming from inside the speakers - yes the speakers are screwed tightly.
Its a wird rattling....like as if somebody put sand on it.....So I bought a used pair of speakers on ebay for $1.50 :D and guess what....now I can hear that "rattling" on the right side instead of the left side.....whats going on!? Is this a driver or a Hardware problem?

cant tell what the problem is, but all T61 computers that I've had (like 6 or so) are making noise through the speakers when running on battery.

somebody somewhere said that when he upgraded to SSD, supposedly the sound disappeared .. so he though it's due to the lower power consumption compared to the HDD. I dont have SSDs yet though ...
