Blue ThinkVantage Button

#1 Post by mdclow » Wed Jan 18, 2012 10:14 pm

I did a clean install of Windows 7 on my T60 about two years ago. It originally had Win XP when purchased five years ago.

Should the ThinkVantage Button do anything when it is pushed when the Win 7 is fully booted to the desktop? It works at the beginning of boot up but not afterwards. I have a fuzzy recollection (from when I had Win XP) that it should bring up the ThinkVantage Menu?

You need to install the Lenovo bloatware for it to work fully, including the recovery partitions, but most people get rid of all that crap when it becomes outdated, usually when the laptop is two or more years old.

It is for ThinkVantage Toolbox. It is available as a free download on support.lenovo.com.

Yes, Thinkvantage toolbox...

But I recommend not to install it. I haven't used it since I bought my thinkpad...
