I'm not able to run in 32 bit mode in SL 10.6.8

#1 Post by Azoro » Thu Jan 19, 2012 1:55 am

Hi everyone, I have a T60 with a T2700, an advanced dock with an ATI4600 card running great, AsereBNL booter. Everything is running fine in SL 10.6.8.
I bought a T7600, installed and had KP. I saw that I'm running by default in 64 bit mode (booted with -s, "iogrep etc etc" I have back "EFI64").
I tried to boot in 32 bit mode (arch=i386 or arch=x86_32 at boot time) but it seems to me I'm always booting in 64 bit mode and getting KP (I must have some kext having problem with it).
Please could help me in booting in 32 bit mode? Otherwise I'll forget about T7600 for now...

Thanks a lot!
GR

Ok, just for the records. I was able to run in 32 bit at last but... it wasn't the problem.

So I created a new dsdt.aml file (this time with the new CPU) and now evertyhing is fine.

Bye
