T4x using WXP help in customizing Access Ibm button

#1 Post by madkat » Fri Jan 20, 2012 10:00 am

Found this topic:
http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/ThinkPad_Button

but unfortunately - in the registry i don't have this item - [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\TPHOTKEY\8001]

it is the same until "tphotkey" - but the 8001 item is not...

whats wrong?

edit: - it's the frankenpad in the signature - basically a quite normal T43
ex: T30, TR451, TR453, R51, R52, X40, X60, R61, T400
X200 - P8600 2.66Ghz, 3G, 250G
G50-70 - 3558U 2.4Ghz, 4G, 1T

Create that entry using Regedit.
Your install probably was made with a regular Windows, rather than an IBM-version of Windows.

Yes, it is a regular windows, not an IBM version.

I cant seem to make it work... neither making a new registry entry - directly under tphotkey, nor making a registry "folder" under hotkey, with the entry inside it...
ex: T30, TR451, TR453, R51, R52, X40, X60, R61, T400
X200 - P8600 2.66Ghz, 3G, 250G
G50-70 - 3558U 2.4Ghz, 4G, 1T
