He has offered me a refund but it will cost me too much to ship it back to Taiwan. I'm not sure what to do with the screen or the laptop at this point. I wish there was an easy way for me to check the LCD to see if it is bad. It would be risky to try it in my good T60p.

I would have been shipping the screen back and accepting the refund yesterday, but that's me.

Unless you have a testbed/shell - which can be an A3x, T4x, R5x - that you can afford to blow a board on, there's no way to test.

That being said, if you return the LCD there's nothing to test...just $$$ to be spent on your next project.
