Add WWAN mini-card for verizon to T500

#1 Post by musican » Sun Jan 22, 2012 12:25 pm

What wwan cards for verizon can be used with Win7-64 on T500?
Do I need a sim card, if so where do I get one and where does it go in the T500?
I used to connect Verizon VZAccess Manager on my T60, I'd like to use it on my T500.
Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum!
Verizon's 3G service is CDMA, which does not use SIM cards. [Verizon's 4G LTE service uses SIM cards, but the LTE devices are "external" only, not internal to the laptop.]

The only "standard" Lenovo device for Verizon is FRU #42T0961 the Lenovo-branded Qualcomm UNDP1 (Gobi 1000) device:

If you install a modified BIOS with permits any WWAN card to be installed, then for Verizon you may use a Sierra Wireless MC5725:
