x40 / x41
x40 / x41
ok, so i'm thinking about returning my x40 that i just got and getting the x41. it looks to me like the differences / similarities are:
1) similar size
2) x41 is heavier
3) x41 uses more power
4) x41 is faster (processor wise)
5) x41 has bluetooth
6) x41 has the fingerprint reader
anything else? my x40 has a bad pixel. i don't really mind normally but the dead pixel is right smack in the middle of the screen and it is very annoying.

Re: x40 / x41
They are the same in size and weight (The only reason they weigh more and bigger dimensions is in general they come with the 8 cell battery)
Some X40's have bluetooth also(like Mine)

I'm in a similar position, with a new X40. Mine has the 1.5 GHz processor (same as the X41) and Bluetooth.
PROS: In addition to what you listed, the X41 should have faster graphics, although like the memory, the new graphics processor seems to be underclocked...actual benchmarks would be great.
CONS: Battery life is significantly decreased to a nominal 5.7 h with the 8 cell battery.
Since I'll be using it as a travel computer, battery life is important, and I'm leaning towards staying with the X40.

i ended up calling ibm today to get the rma on the x40. it was come right up to 30 days so i needed to decide fast.
i have an extra 8 cell so i decided the decrease in battery was ok.
since it had the bad pixel in the middle of the screen i wanted to return it anyway so i figured i would either get a new x40 or get the new x41.
doesn't seem like you can really go wrong here.
