Which version of the Android build are you trying to boot to? It might be better to try to use one of the original ones for this.

Dave, I've tried this & this images and they both would not boot up.
I've not tried the others.
Will do that sometime this week to see which customized ISO is suitable for the X23.
Maybe one of the Asus EeePC?

Hello everyone. I may be getting ere a little late. But some personal experience with my X41 Tablet running Android:
For the temperature issue. I installed the app "system Tuner Pro". With this app you can regulate your processor to keep it cool. Its been a while since Ive used my X41T, but I think I used to clock it at 600 or 800mhz and it would run just fine. This helps keep it running cooler (dont forget the 'governers' feature in the app as well as the clock speeds you can set).
Heres the other thing I used to do. Take the RAM cover off and a good part of the heatsink is exposed (looks like copper). I had some pieces of copper from some old socket 462's and some other copper (thicker pieces) from an old graphics card. I cut pieces of copper to fit onto sections of the heatsink and used thermal tape to make it stay (as well as to conduct the heat to the extra copper piece).
Only problem is, when you go to put the memory cover back on, theres a tiny, i mean tiny bit of a gap still. So to avoid the copper pieces from shifting around or not keeping their conductivity, I would keep adding thin pieces of copper here or there until when I put the cover back on it was nice and snug.
I used the app "Android Tuner Pro" to keep track of the temps (you can record temp, cpu, ect.) or just kept going to it every once in a while when using it to look at the temps.
After adding the copper pieces just right to my satisfaction I noticed that the machine would run about 10deg -to- 12deg cooler than before I added copper. Not sure how accurate the app is, but hey. You may not notiice it being any cooler on your lap cause you have all this extra copper there but from what i remember, my battery was lasting longer and the top (keyboard, bezel) would not be as warm.
