T61 - Persistent messages concerning "Low Disk Space"
The messages are in a bubble near the right corner of my taskbar and indicate where I can click for more information. When I click there I get a window with the following information. I don't know what to make of it. I've had this problem for quite some time. What can I do to fix this?

How large is your HD and how much free space is left?
Have you emptied your Recycle Bin?

The HD has two partitions:
C: 150GB and it's 2/3 free space
D: 450GB over 90% free space
There's nothing at all in the Recycle Bin
Running Windows 7 64bit Ultimate

I'm thinking it may have to do with that E: drive called NVCACHE. What's that about?
There's a thread we both posted in that's evidently about the same thing (it would seem):

Not sure if this relates to your 'low disk space' warning or not? http://brainwreckedtech.wordpress.com/2 ... s-vista-7/

It is related to ReadyBoost/TurboMem.
This should sort you out: http://www.vistax64.com/vista-general/1 ... oying.html

OK, I went to that page and per the suggestion from the MS support guy I changed my ReadyBoost from 495MB usage to 450MB usage. Will see if that eliminates the problem.RealBlackStuff wrote:It is related to ReadyBoost/TurboMem.
