600E XP Audio Driver

#1 Post by siz4stupid » Wed Apr 13, 2005 12:34 pm

I have recently updated a Thinkpad 600E to winxp & sp2.

Everything works except audio.

I can not find a driver for this anywhere.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

The audio drivers for the 600E are native to Windows XP. Many people have this setup running just fine. I used it for a couple of years (XP/SP1). There's possibly a conflict with SP2 but it seems unlikely.

Disable Infra-red in device manager...this often interferes with audio and modem...and see what happens. You won't use Infra-red much anyway.
