FireGL V3200 vs. Opera 12 (HW acceleration)

Hello, I'm able to use Opera Next 12 Alpha fully HW accelerated (using OpenGL 2.0) in Ubuntu 11.10, but the same Opera on Windows says that I haven't compatible OpenGL video card so Opera use software renderer in that case. I think it could be a problem of quiet old GPU driver - I use Vista driver which was deployed in 2007. What do you think? Does exists some newer FireGL V3200 driver for Windows 7?

Did you try to uninstall your current driver and try Windows Update to find a W7 driver instead? It does very well so for FireGL T2, you could as well try for V3200 too. Or go to Windows Update site and type "V3200" in the search field...

No, I haven't tried it yet. Does it mean that using the driver from Windows Update, the Opera 12 runs the HW acceleration then?

I don't know if it will but that way you can get a V3200 driver for W7 and don't have to use Vista driver which may be the reason why it refuses to work in HW accelerated mode. It is sure worth a try.
