some questions about W520 !
Re: some questions about W520 !
For games I recommend buying a gaming notebook (or even better: regular PC) like Alienware. ThinkPads are designed for professional use and optimized for CAD/CAM and such. A G770 could also be a contender but will not match Alienware or other gaming notebook specifications.
W520 (4276-37U), SL400 (2374-P9C), T40p (2374-EG0)
Re: some questions about W520 !

Re: some questions about W520 !
BF3 might struggle on the Quadro 1000M. It goes 30FPS on my Quadro 2000M at 1920x1080 at low/medium. You can definitely get a good overclock on the card though.
The W520 will accept faster RAM and run it faster (if you use matching pairs), but the effect is small.
