X61s Flexview mod: Edges of screen are yellowish

Hi,

On the German forum I ordered a Flexview XGA display (from a X61 tablet) to replace the Samsung display in my X61s.

The operation went reasonably well, but the screen has a rather disturbing yellow shadow at the edges, particularly at the left and bottom edge. Otherwise the screen is perfect -- it's nice and bright and the backlighting is a neutral shade of white -- only the very edges are the problem.

Does anyone know what has happened to the display? Is the panel faulty? Faulty CCFL? Or is it possibly the inverter (worked perfectly with my Samsung TN panel)?

At the moment, I believe it's likely been damaged in transit.

The people on the German forum are stumped as to what has caused this problem. Does anyone here have any idea?
