t42 resolution question

my t42 has the 64mb radeon9000 and specs say the resolution can reach 2048x1536 but my settings wont allow me to go higher than 1024x768.

The onboard LCD will only go to 1024x768.

If you have an external monitor that will do 2048x1536, then your video card will be able to run it.

okay I see, I figured the display could handle larger resolutions but oh well... 1024 will do.
