FS:Dead X60x Extended Series Slice Batteries

Hello folks!

The E-cycler is coming nextthis week and I wanted to see if anyone had any interest in a dead (or a few dead) X60x extended slice battery (FRU 40Y7904). These are the wedge shaped 28.08 Wh addon batteries that use the Ultrabase connector to add a little time to your battery life. I have a working one that gives just under (2) hours on my X60s when browsing with a low screen brightness.

These non-working (at least for me) are mostly from May of 2007 with a couple from April and December of 2007.

They show no charge cycles and give a battery error message as the Panasonic CGA103450A cells have reached a low enough voltage to trigger the battery controller not to charge (I think).

I opened the case on several to see if I could apply a low current to bring the charge up slowly enough to fool the charge circuit into trying the charge, but had no success.

Anyway, if you have a need or use for these (I like the added wedge as I use it in place of a lap desk for my X60s and X61), please let me know.

Unless you want them in original packaging, I will be happy to send one (or as many fit) to you in the continental U.S. in a USPS padded Flat Rate Envelope for $6.

I do have the tablet adapters for these as well.

I also have a dead 8-cell X6x battery if someone needs it for any purpose. I killed it by trying to reset the battery gauge to reflect the real capacity, suprise, suprise.
