T500 with dual desktop issue

Hello everybody. I have a T500 running Win 7 Pro (64-bit) in a Lenovo Advanced Dock (2503-10U). Connected to the dock via DVI port is a ViewSonic VP2130b monitor. For whatever reason, after being configured and the machine is rebooted, I lose ALL my dual desktop display settings. The only way to get it to “re-recognize” the external monitor is to unplug the DVI cable, reconnect the DVI cable, then reconfigure the desktop.

I’ve updated all my drivers, as well as checked every conceivable setting in both Windows and the BIOS. No matter what I do, when the machine is rebooted, the signal to the external monitor is lost.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
