Yes but it might be thicker and require some finagling with the cable...
A3x series screens are very old...why not just find a replacement from a T4x/T6x machine...they're quite inexpensive nowadays...

A31 lid assembly has been in my parts box for quite some time now. As far as I can recall it is in good shape. I don't want to ruin it trying to make it work. Maybe a candidate for a swap on the marketplace. Thanks for your input, Keith

Re: A31 lcd panel in a T40
I moved a 15" LCD from A31p to T43p.
You must use a resolution-and-size-matching T4x LCD cable.
You need to fold the lower part of the LCD cable, because the connector on the A31 LCD sits lower than on the T43 LCD.
And you must then extend the Thinklight cable because it will be too short after the 'folding'. Just cut it in half and solder in the missing length of the (only 2) wires.
I don't know if there is enough room in the 14.1" T40 LCD lid to do it.
The 15" was an extremely tight fit.
The A31 LCD is thicker and a lot heavier than the T43 LCD.
