I fresh installed windows 8 cp a couple of days ago on my t420, and it wasnt compatible with some drivers. I tried to recover the old window from Thinkvantage button but it seems not to work. I tried to install Thinkvantage rescue and recovery app but still the same prob. I only formatted drive c:, and i can see drive e:(lenovo recovery) with 8.88gb used space but cant access the image. can anybody help...

I hope you burnt a set of Recovery Disks on DVD before you installed the W8 CP.

I think you will need to boot off those to restore the unit to Factory settings. after you restore the default operating system, I STRONGLY recommend you create a separate partition on your hard disk to install W8 in, and multi-boot or use a Virtual Machine. After all, this is a 'consumer preview' or 'totally in beta but the starving hordes want a piece of the pie so we'll just throw this out there and let em at it' so it cannot be relied on to work perfectly.
