Anyone run an IPOD through the Mini-dock II?

I read somewhere in this forum that a Ipod would not run through the USB ports of the Mini-dock II, but will be fine connected directly to the computer.
Is the Mini-dock USB hub powered?

Yes - but only a little bit :)

I successfully run a 2.5" USB drive off of 2 minidock USB ports. I have had some flash drives cause "too much power" errors when running from the minidock. No such problems from the onboard USB.

Okay, so you'd suggest getting a powered USB hub?
Anyone know of a good one? There are so many out there and I really can't find a website that reviews USB hubs.
