Angle of view for full-HD display

#1 Post by jimbeard » Fri Mar 16, 2012 1:53 am

My current T500 with a 1680 x 1050 flourescent-backlit screen has a miserable angle of view range, about 15 degrees vertically. (This is after coming from an otherwise-accursed Sony with a gorgeous screen and viewing angles, vertical and horizontal, about like those of a plasma display.)

Since I want to do photo processing with less frustration than I now experience, I should just look at a T520 or W520 with the current FHD LED-backlit display and check out the viewing angles. But I don't know of any within 50 miles of Beaverton, Oregon. And I can't find any actual testing of this feature online.

Any pointers?

If you want, PM me with an image that you think would be a good reference and I can take a couple pictures of the screen for you.
