I have just treated my x201 to some more RAM

#1 Post by K_X201 » Fri Mar 23, 2012 6:32 am

Hi All,

Just picked up 8gb of RAM 8) to replace the 4gb it already had, the laptop wasn't slow by any means but after reading about how extra RAM helps the laptop perform better (from reading posts on this forum) I just had to try it.

I will report back my findings. Also still waiting for delivery of my wwan card.

it's nice how cheap 4gb ram modules have gotten! 4gb ddr2 chips are still around $75!

if you have the funds an ssd will really make the machine fly!
my gems.... all thanks to the advice of my temporarily displaced CALI homeboy, 91011

More memory can also lengthen hibernation and resume times.

Intel 120Gb SSD is next on the list, might pick one up from Best buy when I'm in Vegas next week.

I dont use these functions so I guess it won't effect me.
