Replace T400 xwga LED by wxga+ LED?

#1 Post by cesar24 » Mon Mar 26, 2012 12:56 pm

Hi,

My T400 XWGA LED screen (LP141WX5-TLP2, 1280x800) needs to be fixed.

But can I replace it by XWGA+ LED (1440x900)? I mean, is it also compatible and replaceable with my machine, though it is different in pixels?

Thanks in advance for your answers!. :)

Thanks for your answer!

But I found that the number of data connection pin is different. WXGA is 30, and WXGA+ is 40 from the website below. Is this not correct then?

WXGA (1280x800): http://www.nbkit.com/Wholesale-laptop-N ... _c756.html

WXGA+ (1440x900): http://www.nbkit.com/Wholesale-laptop-N ... _c680.html

Update: I found that the FRUs are also different for those two panels.

The first one you list is a ccfl backlight. The second one is led backlight. You need to but a wxga+ panel that has the same kind of backlight that you have now.
