price check: X220, non-IPS, no wear
Just testing the waters here...if I do get it and decide to part with it, it will be listed in a separate thread accordingly...
ThinkPad X220 (4287-2WU)
i5-2520M(2.5GHz), 4GB RAM,320GB 7200rpm HD, 12.5in 1366x768 LCD, Intel HD Graphics, Intel 802.11bgn wireless, WWAN option, Bluetooth, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure Chip, Fingerprint reader, Camera, 6c Li-Ion, Win7 Pro 64
Presume the following:
a) No wear or just thereabouts
b) No warranty
c) No hard drive
What would be a fair price to ask for something like this? I'm clueless.
TIA for any and all responses...

Re: price check: X220, non-IPS, no wear
It all depends on how quickly you want to get rid of it. I can offer you $450 for it. You keep the power supply if you want.
Re: price check: X220, non-IPS, no wear
I offered a similar X220 ... here in January.

ThinkPad X220 (4291-2XU)

Complete in good condition with onsite warranty to July of 2014 for $675 and while generating some interest did not sell here. I probably asked too much.

Re: price check: X220, non-IPS, no wear
Thanks for the interesting and informative replies. Please keep them coming.
The same configuration, with 1-year standard warranty and 320/7200HDD came to $1160 at Lenovo's website today, after the discount...
I can only guess that the non-IPS detail makes it a non-starter for a lot of people given Brad's experience...what do I know anymore...

Not sure if this compares (as in apples/apples - apples/oranges)
After reading this thread: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=85851 I made changes listed in the above post to my x200 and my T410i and am happy with both --
My X200 already has the upgraded screen (as noted in my signature) but the T410i was pretty washed out. The basic changes listed in the above post made a nice difference in my T410i screen -- brought colors out brighter, clearer, and actually similar in quality to the upgraded glossy screen on my X200.
I agree with George that if screen quality is number one on your list, his X220 may not be the machine for you. But if overall (to include the screen with modified settings) you want a portable/light-weight, fast and snappy thinkpad, the X220 would be an awesome choice. My X200 sees daily use and travels with me -- I would guess the X220 would be even better. Just my two cents worth...

I'd say somewhere in the $600 range.
Past: A22M T61P X41T X200 X201
Present: X201 X220 X61s T420

The actual machine goes up for sale in the morning, so I'm closing this thread.
