Hi Folks,
I'm in the market for a 9-cell battery for my T410. It won't be my main battery, but I'd like to use it for the occasional jaunt to the cafe that doesn't have outlets, etc. Does anyone have any good (or bad) experiences they might share about non-lenovo batteries? I'd love to save some cash, but I don't want to buy myself a world of frustration either.
thanks!
suggestion for oem 9-cell T410 battery?
Re: suggestion for oem 9-cell T410 battery?
My experience with third party batteries is they don't last as long and wear more quickly. If you're OK with that perhaps they're worth a look, but you will get pop up from power manager about non-oem battery. You get them in Linux too.
Taking a look on eBay might worth a look too. That's where I usually find the best prices for oem batteries, but then you have to wonder about how longs it's been sitting.

Wait... You're saying that the popups about non-genuine battery also exist in Linux? How does that work?ZaZ wrote:If you're OK with that perhaps they're worth a look, but you will get pop up from power manager about non-oem battery. You get them in Linux too.

thanks for the reply. having looked around, the slice batteries seem like they'd be the best fit for my use. I'll probably hang around until some refurbs come on the market (if they ever do).
