well pretty much the subject. spilled a large spoonfull of yogurt from the spacebar to the pad. Cleaned it up pretty fast but ever since it (t500) boots up to Windows and goes fine for 2-10 minutes then the display goes 99% dim. You can still see the icons a little bit but not much. Any ideas how bad I screwed it up and what will it take to fix it? Love my T500 and would hate to use it.
thanks in advance!!

Yogurt is not good - conductive and acidic. There is no way to assess the damage without disassembly. Are you considering fixing yourself? Taking to somebody? Taking to Lenovo? (Lenovo repair would be more expensive than buying a used T500)

I removed the cover and cleaned as much as I could but suspect that there was some left. Guess I'll get a local laptop repair guy estimate, i'm sure Lenovo would charge way too much. Used is probably the next step. Just hate to lose a nice machine from such a stupid mistake.
