Yet another dock question about w510 series

I found this chart on Lenovo's site that details the different docking station options for w510 and other models.

I am trying to determine when a dock that supports the 135 watt power supply was released. I know that the ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3 - 170W (433830U - 170W AC Adapter:) can be used. The dock 43383OU has a different power supply than the w510 but you can dock the w510 it it you just can't connect the power supply directly to the w510 although you can to the w520. The other Mini Dock Series 3 - 90W (433710U and 433810U) can only use the 90w power supply. The 135 watt power supply actually fits but technically the dock is only supposed to use the 90w power supply.

I'm trying to determine if Lenovo released the w510 before they had a docking station that could fully power it? The 90w docks will power it but at the cost of losing speed and getting an annoying message at boot.

Any chance someone has any insight on this?
