Swap T500 LCDs

Can I swap out (remove) a T500 WXGA LED LCD and put in a CCFL LCD (any of the three resolutions)? I am assuming I can - and that there is nothing on the motherboard that knows (or cares) which LCD is there.

You need to replace the panel, and the LED control board must be replaced by an inverter. Nothing else changes.
