Motherboard FRU and GPU

I have a motherboard part number .. How do I know what GPU is on the motherboard? The Lenovo specs say one thing - but Windows 7 says another. The FRU is 63Y1161 from a T500 ..

I've always wanted to know where there is more detail about a specific FRU (motherboard, LCD, etc). When I do a Google search, all I get are the parts places - and they don't have enough detail. Is there some other master source to look up FRU numbers?

That part is probably from the shady world of refurbishing.
They give them a new number, but I have yet to see any cross-reference.
With all the refurbs added, there are well OVER 100 different motherboards for the older T4x/R5x series alone!

The T500 HMM lists 12 mobos, with refurbs and revisions there are probably around 30 by now, if not more...
