SOLD: X301 1.6 Ghz, 4 mb ram, 128 ssd Warranty until 6/1/12
I've decided to sell this great machine due to a household changeover to the dark-side ! (Macs) I bought it a little over 2 yrs. ago from HarryC (moderator & active trader here) and it's run flawlessly since. It's been sitting unused the past 6 mos. Thought I should sell it before the warranty expires as a 2 year extension depot level warranty is available for between $160-220. (Friends & Family discount available for me)
This machine was orig. Vista and it's been Upgraded to Widows 7 Pro SP1 32 bit. It has two 6 cell batteries and the small 65 w AC adapter. I also have the smaller AC/DC Travel adapter with some add. charging tips. Have the Orig Fact Discs & Lenovo supplied upgarde discs & license.
The Specs are:
X301 2776-27U, s/n XX-XXXXX, SU9600 1.6Ghz, 4 mb ram, 1440 X 900 LCD, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802agn wireless, WWAN option, Bluetooth, Modem, 1gb Ethernet, Ultranav, Fingerprint Reader, Camera.
It's probably a 9 overall physical condition. This is a hurried listing w/o photos just to see if anybody on the forum wants it. I'll be glad to talk about it to anyone and send photos. If nobody here is interested I'll put it on ebay in a couple of days. They seem to be bringing well over $500 there w/o warranty or extra adapter an battery.
My price is firm at SOLD not including shipping or Paypal fees. Prefer sale within USA.
mod edit: masked price and serial number, locked thread. it has sold so let's move on.

Cheers from someone who repaired IBM computers w/60,000 vacumn tubes in the early 60's and still hasn't found a better keyboard than IBM's!

I Don't know how to edit a post I've already made. Also to that person who thinks I undersold it perhaps he should have bought! I didn't put it on eBay where I knew it would have done somewhat better because I didn't want to hassle with people unfamiliar with Tpads. I'm happy to have in the hands of an appreciative buyer in NZ. Money isn't everything!

In the lower right hand corner of your post there is a button labeled "edit", right next to the "quote" button, click on the "edit" button and you will be able to add SOLD to the subject line.

I already have an X301, wouldn't sell it for anything.
The model that you have is worth at least 600.
The 1.6 models are rare with warranty.

@Kaze22 -- Welcome to the Forum
I also had an X301 and sold it here on the Forum a year or so ago. It was in excellent condition, and I think the price at the time was very fair. I would have to say that stuffinder's price is a great price, and like he said, money isn't everything. If you take some time and read around this Forum, you will find it is about much, much more than the Marketplace. I have gotten some good buys here, and often enough have seen some awesome prices. The Marketplace is not eBay, and most Forum Members are seeking an honest, fair price in order to move on to their next ThinkPad.
As for the various members who repair/refurbish and resell ThinkPads on the Froum, they spend much more of their Forum time giving helpful adivce and assisting non-geeks like myself in solving ThinkPad issues. Their prices are fair and honest, and usually fall within the great to 'snap-it-up-now' price range. Unlike most sales on eBay, you will always have access to expert input and answers on any machine you buy here, both from your Seller and also from other expert Forum Members.
So in my opinion, based on the eithc of this ThinkPad Forum, stuffinder didn't 'undersell' his X301 -- he sold it for a great price.

In that case he should have sold it for 400 to me. Joking.

Not necessarily. When the X301 was about to be discontinued (about two years ago I think), Microsoft Store had it for $799 shipped. I almost bought one.Kaze22 wrote:You under sold that.
