Flexview yellowing fix

#1 Post by Bibin » Sun Apr 22, 2012 12:43 am

I had an IDTech UXGA panel that had developed some yellowing around the left and right edges. Upon replacing the backlight, which had began to turn pinkish, it booted up nice and bright, and I can't see the same yellowing.

This could be a fluke, but it may also be possible that the yellowing is somewhat due to the backlight itself turning yellow in regions. Anyone with yellowing edges may want to give it a try if you are feeling very careful and experimental.

That's one of the nice features of IDTech.
After CCFL replacement they are as good as new.
I've replaced probably 15 CCFLs on IDTech 15" IPS panels, always with the same great result.
No such luck with other brands :(
