i will often use my desktop to access the files on my x22 thinkpad (both run xp pro)
after i disconnect the session, if the lid of the laptop has been closed, i will have no screen (no backlight either) when i resume. i have tried sending it to sleep and hibernate and then bringing it back, with no amicable result.
i know that the computer is still on and running (i can log in by touch), but no information is sent to the display. the only way to resolve this is to do a hard shutdown and reboot.
has anyone else encountered this problem?
i imagine there are settings of some sort to tweak, perhaps on rdclient, but i'm hoping somebody has a quick solution before i spend time i don't have at the moment to fix this inconvenience. TIA.
no display after remote desktop disconnected
