As shown in my other thread, My R500 had a fault and does not have USB ports anymore. I want to buy an expresscard version.

This one pretends to be sort of "high end", costs two times more , claims to have a NEC chip, . - is that really important?
it is not a great price diffeerence, but I spend loads on IT junk so I dont want to pay twice the amount for nothing.

Is there any significant difference, for a user, in speed, reliability, anything else? thanks.
Would you advise a slim one which does not protrude out from the side, with just one port, or a two port one?
I usually need one, but it is not really enough. I may be sticking in a flash disk and at the same time using an USB keyboard.
